UAV Learning System SuperStingray
A modular learning system for drone training — from technical assembly to flight operations. Highly integrated drone technology is broken down into interchangeable function modules and made tangible.

Complex Drone Technology as a Modular Learning System
A drone packs numerous technical components into a very small space. Flight controller, sensors, propulsion and other functional units are networked via compact plug and solder connections and are only partly accessible in the real system.
The aim of the development was therefore to fully understand this technical architecture first and then transfer it into a modular learning system. The relevant components, wiring and signal chains are reproduced realistically, spatially separated and made accessible as interchangeable function modules.
Motors, rotors, thrust units, wings and tail units are independent modules that can be combined to match the respective flight platform. Multicopters, flying wings, classic fixed wings and VTOL hybrids become directly comparable — with their characteristic propulsion, lift and control concepts.
The idea and concept for the learning system came from JSTec: founder Jörg Siekmann was the mind behind the project and co-developed it from the first idea to the finished system.
Closing the Riskiest Gap in UAV Training
The step into real operations is the most critical point in any drone training — theory and simulators alone fall short. The learning system closes this gap in four steps: understand the tech, practise safely, experience it for real and apply it tactically.
Trainees build, wire and calibrate the drone themselves, practise in the simulator with exactly that configuration and get a real flight feel without free flight via a robot arm. The RXLea learning software connects directly to the flight controller and guides every step — for public safety agencies, industrial training centres and vocational schools.
The Result in Pictures
Highly integrated technology becomes an editable, expandable learning platform: function modules can be connected, re-plugged and diagnosed — and the architecture is open to further components, variants and drone concepts.
