SMARTfloor
An interactive sensor floor that combines movement and learning. The sensor surface captures every movement and processes it with AI — for schools, fitness, senior care and events.

Interactive Floor Technology Meets Learning Success
SMARTfloor is a learning and movement concept that appeals to people of every age and interest group. The combination of sensor surface and fully customisable software plays to its strengths in education as well as in sports, fitness and events.
The sensor surface captures the smallest movements and evaluates them using artificial intelligence: presence, direction, speed, paths, touches and reaction times. The data can be output on practically any device — monitor, projector, tablet or smartphone.
Four product variants cover the use cases: SMARTfloor Mobile as a fold-out plug-and-play package, Puzzle as an individually expandable surface, Surface as a solution built permanently into the floor and Table as an accessible variant for raised surfaces.
The idea and concept for SMARTfloor came from JSTec: founder Jörg Siekmann was the mind behind the project and co-developed the system from the first idea to the full product family.
Getting People Moving at Every Stage of Life
The goal was a system that combines movement with cognitive tasks, raising motivation and learning success. In schools, SMARTfloor supports the curriculum with multisensory learning games; in fitness, posture and movement sequences are measured precisely.
In senior care, playful training helps slow degenerative processes and prevent social isolation. Via the cloud-based SMARTfloor Hub, users create their own games with Scratch, assign layouts and share them with the community.
The Result in Pictures
From the portable puzzle system with its case to training in the studio and the care home: the same sensor technology and software adapt to space, target group and application.
